The “Lobster Pot” was originally established in Cape Cod in 1940 by Ralph Medeiros, the son of a Portuguese fisherman and his wife Adeline. Fresh fish and lobster were caught daily by the family, which helped create the fresh taste the restaurant was known for. Several of the kids including Glen Medeiros were born above the Lobster Pot Restaurant. Glen got involved at a very young age at the restaurant. He eventually went on to The Culinary Institute of America in New Haven Connecticut.
We purchase fresh seafood daily from only the finest fisherman in our native areas and also Florida. All of our live Lobsters are from Bar Harbor and Boothbay Maine.
