Exploring the Ringling Museum
Covering 66 acres, this massive museum complex is sure to have something of interest that caters to a variety of visitors. Within the complex are the State Art Museum of Florida, Circus Museum, Ca’ d’Zan mansion, and Bayfront Gardens. With all-inclusive tickets (with the exception of the Ca’ d’Zan mansion), it’s easy to see what each attraction has to offer on your visit to the Ringling Museum!
Stoke an existing passion for art or awaken an unknown interest in creative expression with a visit to the State Art Museum of Florida, situated on the grounds of the Ringling Museum Florida. Thirty-one galleries are filled with treasures that remain in the permanent collection as well as pieces on exhibition from around the world. A beautifully landscaped courtyard also lays claim to beautiful sculptures.
For those who have ever held a childlike intrigue with the circus, the Circus Museum offers the opportunity to both step back in time and take an active part in circus life. Former costumes, props, equipment, and displays such as newspaper clippings allow a window into circus life as far back as the early 1800s. Perhaps the most thrilling is the Tibbals Learning Center, where circus dreams come alive as you walk the tightrope or squeeze into a clown car.
Explore the beautifully maintained grounds of the Bayfront Gardens, taking in the sights of native, exotic, historical, and culturally significant plants and trees. Enjoy the garden at your leisure or opt for one of the guided tours that are offered on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.
